Every
individual needs help to be able to learn, but the studying as such has to be mastered by the individual itself. This is
one of the reasons that the Montessori teacher's task is to observe, to be keen and attentive to the children's
development and to stimulate them to work. The teacher should be the one who is initially motivating and who shows the way the children should take. Teachers inform, describe, give advice and explain. All unnecessary help often inhibits the child's development. Therefore, teachers should refrain from unnecessarily interfering with the child's activities. Tomegården is a authorized Montessori preschool. One of the requirements for an official authorization is that at least 75% of the teachers are are licenced Montessori teachers. Tomegården has 3 teachers and all of them are Montessori teachers. |
